Author Guidelines

Manuscripts submitted to “International Trends” must conform to the following guidelines:

Submitted articles should reflect the Journal’s thematic profile and its scientific priorities.

General Rules

1. The manuscript’s volume should be within 0.5-1.5 author’s sheets (3000 – 8000 words). It must represent the results of independent and original scientific research corresponding with the Journal’s thematic profile, reflecting the author’s profound knowledge of the bibliographic context on the analyzed problems and the ability to adequately apply the conventional methodology of setting up and solving scientific problems.

2. The submission of material for consideration as an analytical review of relevant works (no longer than 1 author’s sheet) and review articles on latest scientific literature (no longer than 0.25 author’s sheet – 1500 words) is also encouraged by the Editor. A review article sent by July, 1st, of each current year must be related to a book published in the previous year. Review articles sent after July 1 must be related to a book published strictly in the current year.

3. If the Journal has accepted a manuscript for consideration, this gives no guarantee that it will be published. All materials are anonymously reviewed by external experts.

4. All manuscripts should be written in literary language, scientific style, and be properly edited.

5. The Journal does not publish works already published elsewhere or currently under review by another publisher.

6. There is no charge for the publication of materials. The decision on publication of a manuscript depends solely on its quality and correspondence with the Journal’s thematic profile.

7. Please, ensure that you only submit Microsoft Word files with left-aligned text, font “Times New Roman”, 12 pt, 1.5-line spacing throughout.

It is imperative that you do not use automatic numeration or lists in the text.

The editorial team asks potential authors to regard with favour the Journal’s policy not to enter into correspondence (all the more to engage in intentional polemics) with potential authors via e-mail or post, as well as to avoid any preliminary obligations regarding the publication of materials.

8. The title page should be placed in a separate file and contain the following data both in Russian and in English: author’s name, surname, academic degree, academic title, position, and place of employment with postal code. The main file of the article should contain: its title, text, footnotes, and a list of references at the end, both in Cyrillic and Latin . This requirement is essential for the anonymous review of all submitted manuscripts.

9. All submitted articles should also contain a key words list, a brief summary (abstract) both in Russian and in English (no less than 250 words), and a bibliography formed according to the Russian Science Citation Index (see below).
